Labsurface develops, manufactures, and markets a complete range of epoxy, polyurethane and polyaspartic coatings specially designed for concrete surfaces and woodworking projects. Labsurface in 2025 is also introducing it’s first systems for various commercial and industrial applications.

SALES MANAGER
The position of Sales Manager requires outstanding sales and communication skills and a keen interest in developing technical support skills. The candidate will be responsible to maintain and grow the distribution network in North America. The candidate will need to build strong client relationships and work collaboratively and positively with other Labsurface departments. The position is in the US and regular travel (50%) to our customers is required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain current account relationships/identifying opportunities for growth (farming).
- Identify potential customer (distributor) opportunities in various US geographies supported by the Senior Director of Sales (hunting).
- Embrace Company’s sales and marketing approach based on the Trusted Advisor Philosophy.
- Quickly adapt to and execute Labsurface sales and marketing approach.
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and the quality of the products and services received.
- Stay informed regarding existing customers’ business opportunities and ensure excellent customer retention levels.
- Provide technical support to current customers.
- Maximize the number of sku’s sold to customers and educate them on the benefits of sku’s missing from their portfolio along with new products.
- Develop and maintain personalized business relationships.
- Participate at various events organized by our customers and partners such as demos/customer appreciation days.
- Maintain and optimize an efficient ordering process with customers and support AR department with credit limits/AR balances.
- Maintain work tools and apply solicitation approaches to promote products and services to increase sales.
- Ensure healthy communication and a harmonious work environment with all Labsurface employees.
- Perform various analysis, market studies, and other administrative tasks as requested by Management.
What does success look like?
First 6 months
- Attend new employee training/onboarding at Labsurface HQ in Montreal, Canada for 1 week.
- Begin to understand the Trusted Advisor Approach.
- Extensive training both remotely and in person with the Sales Director monthly.
- Have a solid understanding of Labsurface company culture. Build working relationships with your immediate teammates and colleagues in other departments (finance, operations, R&D).
- Fundamental understanding of Labsurface distribution network in the US.
- Become familiar with Labsurface ERP/CRM/internal sales metrics.
- Acute knowledge of Labsurface products and the ability to convey the benefits/features of products to existing and potential customers.
- Participate in weekly sales team calls and weekly 1 on 1 with Sales Director.
- Accompany Sales Director and other sales managers in the field on customer calls, customer demos, trade shows, etc.
6-12 months
- Candidate will be assigned existing accounts by Sales Director/President to manage and build personal relationships.
- Continuing managing assigned accounts, growing sales within these accounts by identifying new sales opportunities, supporting technically, providing exceptional customer service.
- Work with Director of Sales to identify potential prospects where there is currently no Labsurface distributor in cities or states throughout the US.
- Begin sales cycle of cold calling – closing newly identified prospects to grow Labsurface market share and revenue.
- Continue to manage and grow newly closed accounts.
