FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Labsurface and ProREZ Coatings Are Joining Forces.
A fully integrated partnership which brings together complementary product lines, expanded R&D capabilities, broader market reach, and greater resources – including new, well-paying US jobs and a new US manufacturing facility – for distributor partners and customers across North America.
MASCOUCHE, QUEBEC — October 1, 2026 — Labsurface, a leading North American manufacturer of epoxy and polyaspartic resinous flooring coatings, today announced that Labsurface and ProREZ Coatings are joining forces.
Existing ProREZ products will remain a critical part of the combined offering and in time will be introduced across the Labsurface distribution network under the name ProREZ by Labsurface, expanding access to proven ProREZ product technologies and solutions. At the same time, Labsurface products will be made available through ProREZ distribution points under the current Labsurface label, giving existing ProREZ customers access to Labsurface’s broad range of technologies and systems serving the residential, commercial, and light industrial markets. This includes technologies such as Labsurface Advanced Opacity Technology™ across several product lines, Labsurface Pinhole Mitigation Technology™ across several epoxy product lines, and a range of products available in pretinted versions.
A cornerstone of the expanded portfolio is ProKRETE, ProREZ’s urethane cement system, which brings an installer-focused and user-friendly solution to demanding industrial environments. ProKRETE combines exceptional workability with significantly longer working time than competing products currently available in the market, providing contractors with greater flexibility, control, and ease of installation. Labsurface’s R&D team performed comprehensive benchmarking analysis over the last months and was thoroughly impressed by the distinctive installer-friendly features of the ProKRETE line.
The addition of ProKRETE significantly strengthens the combined organization’s offering in the heavy industrial and specialty flooring markets, while providing Labsurface customers with access to a proven urethane cement platform. In addition to ProKRETE, ProREZ has a full line of resinous coatings specialty products and technologies which will complement the Labsurface portfolio and distribution network.
By bringing together two complementary product portfolios, Labsurface and ProREZ are combining their respective strengths to create a more complete offering for customers. Each organization brings proven products, technologies, and expertise that complement the other, allowing the partnership to address a broader range of applications and customer needs.
Together, Labsurface and ProREZ will provide customers with one of the most comprehensive product and system offerings in the resinous coatings industry, with distinctive technological features across virtually every product line. Labsurface will also build a new manufacturing facility in the United States to support increased production of ProREZ products. In addition, ProREZ will benefit from Labsurface’s purchasing power and a dedicated research and development team of ten professionals focused on product quality, performance, and innovation. The partnership is also expected to create a number of skilled, well-compensated positions, including roles in the Hartford, Connecticut, area supporting the new manufacturing facility, as well as sales positions based across the United States that will expand the company’s existing US sales team.
“This partnership is an important milestone in Labsurface’s growth and our commitment to the resinous flooring industry,” said Jonathan Gagnon, President and CEO of Labsurface. “Bringing ProREZ and Labsurface together allows us to offer a more comprehensive selection of flooring solutions for the Heavy Industrial and architectural specification markets creating meaningful new opportunities for our distributor partners and customers to grow alongside us. We are proud to welcome the ProREZ team and build on the reputation they have earned.”
“Joining forces with Labsurface allows us to build on everything that has made ProREZ successful while giving our customers access to significantly greater resources,” said Steve Lipman, President of ProREZ. “Our products, our people, and our relationships with our customers are not changing. What is changing is the level of support behind them and the opportunities created by bringing the strengths of both organizations together.”
ProREZ will continue to operate under its established name, and the company intends to retain the entire ProREZ team, along with the products, service, expertise, and customer relationships that have defined the brand to date. While both the ProREZ and Labsurface divisions will belong to a single Canadian parent entity, owned by Labsurface’s existing shareholders and Steve Lipman, they will maintain distinct corporate identities, and ProREZ’s existing leadership team will be integrated with Labsurface’s management.
In the near term, Labsurface and ProREZ will continue offering their respective product lines while the two organizations integrate their teams, systems, product portfolios, and distribution networks. ProREZ product costs, pricing, positioning, and distribution programs will be evaluated as part of this process before products are formally introduced throughout the Labsurface distribution network.
In parallel to the transaction, we expect Labsurface products focused on residential, commercial, and light industrial applications to become available through the following additional distribution locations:
- Connecticut – 712 Brook Street Unit 107, Rocky Hill, CT 06067
- Illinois – 173 Ambrogio Drive Suite A, Gurnee, IL 60031
- New Jersey – 41 Curie Ave, Building 44, Wallington, NJ 07057
- North Carolina – 801 Pressley Road Suite 101, Charlotte, NC 28217
Labsurface expects to share further details on combined products, systems, availability, locations, and training as the integration progresses in the coming months.
