On May 11, at the gala evening of the 46th edition of the Mercuriades held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, Labsurface reached an important milestone in the company’s history by winning two Mercure awards in highly competitive categories, in addition to the prestigious SME of the Year award.

Behind this recognition is, above all, a team of 57 passionate employees whose expertise, innovation, professionalism, and commitment contribute every day to the growth of Labsurface both in Quebec and internationally. The Mercuriades: Quebec’s Most Prestigious Business Competition

Created in 1981 by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ), the Mercuriades are recognized as Quebec’s most prestigious business competition. For more than 40 years, the competition has celebrated companies that stand out through innovation, growth, vision, and economic impact both within Quebec and internationally. Each year, the Mercuriades bring together some of the province’s top-performing companies from a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, technology, export development, human resources, and sustainable development. Over the decades, the competition has become a true benchmark of excellence within Quebec’s business community.

A Demanding Selection Process

Being named a Mercuriades finalist already represents a significant achievement. Companies must submit a detailed application demonstrating measurable results achieved through innovative strategies implemented in Quebec. Applications are then evaluated by a panel of business experts based on several criteria, including innovation, growth, performance, and economic impact. Only the companies presenting the strongest applications advance to finalist status.

A Memorable Evening at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal

Held on May 11 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal, the Mercuriades gala brought together more than 800 guests from Quebec’s business community, including some of the province’s most innovative and high-performing companies.

At the end of the evening, Labsurface was awarded:

International Market Development;

This category recognizes companies that have implemented export or international development strategies generating tangible results outside Canada.

 This final distinction represents one of the competition’s highest honors. By receiving this award, Labsurface also joins the prestigious Mercuriades Club of Excellence, which includes companies that have helped shape Quebec’s entrepreneurial landscape for more than 40 years.
